2023 RecyClass Recycled Content Traceability Certificate was successfully obtained. Thanks to the cooperation with ExxonMobil, Bareks has become the first manufacturer in its region to offer customers polyethylene raw materials produced by upcycling. Our Bareks Polyethylene factory has successfully obtained ISO 50001 Energy Management System certification. 2022 The installation of the Reifenhauser 3-layer PE film blowing extrusion line, which was finished at the end of 2022, was completed and the line was commissioned. Through the Solar Energy System installed on the roof of the Bareks Polyethylene factory, approximately 800 tons of CO2 emissions were prevented annually by using renewable energy in production. Based on the sustainability-oriented approach and environment-oriented production policies, the Zero Waste Certificate was awarded. The "Corporate Carbon Footprint Calculation Project", initiated on a voluntary basis with a focus on responsibility for combating climate change, was successfully completed and the "Carbon Footprint calculation ISO 14064-1: 2018 certificate" was awarded. The "Operation Clean Sweep" Certificate was awarded to certify that plastic granules, particles and dust are handled with due care and do not mix into the seas. The I-REC certificates, first obtained in 2021, were maintained, and focusing on sustainability, all of the energy used in production was supplied from renewable sources. 2021 Renewable energy production started with the solar energy system installed at the Bareks Polyethylene Facility. The I-REC zero-carbon green electricity certificate was received, proving that the energy used in production is generated from 100% renewable sources. In line with the sustainability goals, a step was taken to become a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition (SPC) and the MDO PE line investment, which realizes the production of the 100% recyclable flexible packaging, has been commissioned. The ISCC Plus Certificate (International Sustainability Carbon Certificate) was received with zero non-compliance. 2020 During the COVID-19 global health crisis, the high-level measures and the high hygiene standards introduced for industrial companies were successfully implemented and the "TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate" was received. 2019 We took a step forward to be a stakeholder of Ceflex (A Circular Economy for Flexible Packaging) initiative, and consolidated our focus on the circular economy of packaging. 2018 Bareks has increased its capacity to 44.000 tons with its 8th blown film extrusion line (W&H) 2017 Bareks completed construction of the second plant in İzmir Free Zone. New investment of 6th and 7th lines increasing the capacity to 38.000 tpa ISO 9001 and 14001 certificates as 2015 versions Awarded for with TPM Excellence by JPIM 2016 Bareks has started construction of its second plant with 26.000 sqm in Menemen Free Zone. Bares was certificated by ISO 27001:2013 Information Security System. 2015 Bareks has increased its capacity to 25.000 tons with its new 5th blown film extrusion extrusion line ( W&H ). 2014 Bareks was certificated by ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems. 2013 As a result of customer loyalty based on mutual trust and growing demands, Bareks moved forward for the invesment of its 4th blown film extrusion extrusion line ( W&H ) and increased its capacity to 18.000 Tons. 2011 Bareks moved in its new 10.000 m² factory located in İzmir - Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone and sustains its continous development, realized the start-up of 3rd blown film extrusion line. Bareks updated ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certificate. Bareks was certificated by BRC / IOP (101) Version 4. 2010 Bareks who has increased its market share in a short while, started construction of new factory located also in Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone. 2004 Bareks was certificated by ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System. 2002 Bareks was established as subsidiary company of Bakioğlu Holding Co. and it has started to manufacture multilayer Polyethylene Films in its first 2.000 m² factory located in Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone.
